Humble Beginnings Amidst Offshore Everything
I like offshore winds when I paddle out and catch some clean waves. Even though I have been surfing for over five years, I am certainly still a begginer. Even though I have been learning about, working for and living an environmentally and socially responsible life, I am still a beginner. I am humble and happy about that. I only want to get better, but know where I am.
The Global economy is what it is and it makes sense that our global society is where it is. I am glad "Green" has become popular and is starting to become common sense. The key to a sustainable future is regional independence with smart Global, potentially unnecessary relationships. I see these Global economic relationships as "nice", but not essential. What is nice vs. essential is a fun, personal question. While "nice" things for pleasure is ok, things essential to life and a sustainable future are more important.
Recently, Legitify competed against outsourced "out of county website developers" for a project and we won. Our price was competitive and there was a deeper connection to the Legitify blend of culture and commerce that are the foundation for our services and publishing tools. That made us feel good, really good. Have you ever used a bank site and wondered who actually did the design or programming? Why are some of these bank sites grounded in bad design and offer and even worse user experience? Translate that into anything. What is the economical, social and/ or environmental impact of everything you experience, eat or buy?
