A couple of real women approached Legitify to help launch their mission via the web: to find out what real women eat and why. Our Clients, Nicci and Anna, are writers who wanted to connect with their audience in an immediate and meaningful way to begin the discussion about nutrition and food choices in today’s fast-food society. Their view is that although the image of the perfect woman and the perfect meal may be easy to write about and advertise to consumers, in the real world, it’s just not that easy to maintain that diet. They wanted to find out what women are actually eating and why they make those choices, so Nicci and Anna decided to ask as many people as possible, via the Internet.

Legitify designed and built the What Real Women Eat site to be an interactive blog-style interface that Nicci and Anna could easily manage on their own. Our Clients can access a back end management system that allows them to manage users, manage posts, create and track polling questions and track their own user’s demographics. On the front end, Legitify employed the help of local artist Abby Mannock to illustrate some simple and quirky scenes of typical daily food choices and the women that eat it. Overall, the design, colors, font and illustrations serve to set the tone for the blog to be fun, inviting and easily accessible for everyday web users. So far, the response to whatrealwomeneat.com has been amazing, our Client is thrilled and the blog revolution continues with a new home for discussion and insight on real women and the food they eat.
